Camp & Training Centre

Full Planning Permission was given by South Derbyshire District Council on June 13th 2008. All thirteen Council Members voted in favour of the Camp Centre going ahead. We have a number of conditions which we need to sort out before the building work can begin. One of the conditions is that we need to build the main centre and our home with managers facilities at the same time.

Work started at the beginning of September with the road and services going into the site. The caravan that Jem, Sue, & the boys are living in will hopefully be moved onto site by the end of March '09.

The basement for the main building is now dug out ready for the foundations. The Manager's House, Book Cafe, Staff Residence, and lake have also been dug under archeological supervision.

The site will cater for 60 people plus leaders and will have outdoor activities which will include football pitches, water sports, climbing walls etc, as well as woodland walks.

We believe this would further the aims of the trust and create many new opportunities for us as well as supporting the work that is already going on. Please get in touch for further information.

Latest News

Work is continuing and the entrance needs to be finished in the next month or so. Curbs and tarmac need to be done.

Design work needs to be done on the basement for the main building and calculations for the water and electric supplies.

We hope to meet with suppliers in Canada in the early of part of January.

Prayer

Praise the Lord for the financial provision that has been made to this point. We are now able to sign contracts and there is finance available towards the basement.

Please pray that the right people would be available to help us in the next couple of months to sort out the next stages and that we would see the Lord's provision at each stage.
